About the Lancashire BEA

The Lancashire Business Environment Association has been established to offer cost-effective, practical support to small and medium sized enterprises in Lancashire - helping to reduce their environmental pressures and at the same time offering tangible business benefits. Nova Scotia Wharf

The Lancashire Business Environment Association was formed from what was the East Lancashire Business Environment Association which in turn can trace its origins back to the formation of the Business Environment Association in Blackburn in 1993.

Since the concept of an environmentally focused business club was introduced in 1993 the Business Environment Association has grown to approximately 400 member organisations. These range in size from the micro to mega businesses.
The Lancashire Business Environment Association is part of Groundwork Blackburn. It is partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Single Regeneration Budget.
